The Saumain is a nature reserve in the Schweinfurt conurbation, which covers an area of approximately 11.57 hectares.

The imperial freedom, which had been documented since the 13th century, was reinstated to the free imperial villages of Sennfeld and Gochsheim in 1649. The Kirchweih (Plankirchweih) is always celebrated in both imperial villages on the first Sunday in September. In 2016, the Peace Festival was declared an intangible cultural heritage by being inscribed on the Bavarian and German UNESCO lists.
