A well-travelled route through the Sachsenwald forest

Anyone who drives along here should be careful, it's a steep descent but the forest is very beautiful.

A very nice and quiet place

At the intersection, one of the "Koops benches" invites you to linger. With a little imagination, a walrus looks down at the hiker from the tree behind the bench. It has now lost its tusks and the sign has also been gone since 2024.

In 2019, the NDR dug a fairly deep hole here in which "the body was found". For two weeks, the forest was full of cars, trucks, people and even a food truck. The crime scene was broadcast under the title "Borowski and the Shadow of the Moon".

The hiking trail "Hohes Elbufer" (W30) also runs along here, which I can highly recommend at this point.
