This is the starting point of the 2 km long Gnome Trail, which is a great and educational experience, especially (but not only) for families with small children.

The Hunnesrück Stud Farm, originally founded in 1730 as an administrative residence of the Prince-Bishopric of Hildesheim, is today a stud farm of the state of Lower Saxony. The large complex is quite impressive with its many historic buildings.

The ruins of Hunnesrück Castle are situated on a steep slope atop the Amtsberg hills. Some remnants of the walls are still visible. The deep moats are particularly impressive.
