From the whimsically curved Op den Hövel high trail, you can enjoy views towards Xanten and the cathedral, as well as the Uedemer Hochwald forest with the distinctive dome of the HADR (Hughes Air Defence Radar) of NATO airspace surveillance. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/HADR_(Radar)

The section of the path along the edge of the slope offers a wonderful view towards Bönninghardt and, in clear weather, as far as Kamp-Lintfort.

The hill will be completely overgrown by 2024, and there will only be some view in winter. A better, unobstructed view of Xanten can be seen from the road that runs along the foot of the hill.
