From the plateau, there's a beautiful view of the west side—mostly nature, with a few houses/settlements. The "bridges" over the cracks between the rocks are sturdy, but don't trust the wooden railing.

The Johannesweg always offers amazing views of the towns along the way. Just like this "photo frame" shows the town of Weitersfelden. The "benches" invite you to linger and enjoy.😍 Really very well done.👌🏼

The meadow path uphill from Langfirling is a very beautiful section with a view of the stage destination.

There is also a phallus stone near St. Thomas am Blasestein --> https://www.komoot.de/highlight/4227824 One can argue about which of the two is more like a phallus. I think neither of them. ;-) But if I had to choose, it would be this one.

Calling it a highlight is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration. Nevertheless, this place is a good opportunity to take a breather before tackling the steep climb up the Riffelberg.
