The grotto was erected in 1975 by Father Hanus. It features a replica of Mary with the message "I am the Immaculate Conception" and is located on the St. John's Pilgrimage Trail and the Cultural Trail, not far from the Bründl Chapel.

The summit of Opferschalen am Wimberg is also easily accessible with good safety precautions.

On Mühlberg hill you will find offering bowls that are always filled with water. You climb up to the offering bowls using wooden ladders.

The Bründl Chapel near St. Leonhard was built in 1728 and is now one of the municipality's listed buildings. Located on the old road to Ennsedt, it exudes a special sense of tranquility with its simple Baroque architecture, dome-like ceiling, and statue of the praying Virgin Mary. According to tradition, the spring water that springs here has healing powers—especially for the eyes and ears—which is why the chapel remains a popular place of contemplation to this day. A visit can be wonderfully combined with a bike ride, for example, on the Haiderberg panoramic view trail, which leads to the highest point in the municipality. From there, a wide view of the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel opens up before you return to the chapel and take in the tranquil setting at the Bründl.

Signposts along the road point to this granite group—yes, the wind whistles through the holes between the rocks. There's no obvious path leading up—the sign also says "View to..." 😎

After a steep climb with almost too many roots, you reach the shoulder of Haiderberg. This is where you should leave your bike behind, as the rest of the route to the viewing plateau is simply a climb. Unfortunately, the alternative route down to the road isn't even visible up here.

After a short, steep climb on the Johannesweg towards Haiderberg, you come across a fairly large pitch stone and a bench from which you have a beautiful view over to St. Leonhard.

The density of the great scenic granite formations and also the many unnamed ones in the forests is incredible in this area 🤩
