During the redesign of the main street in 2011/2012, the vision was developed to incorporate water and fountain installations into the pedestrian areas as quiet zones and to also design these places with "art in public space". “Aurora” is the third fountain that forms the end point of the Mödling Water Mile designed by Gundi Dietz: the colossal bronze head – removed from all space and time by its facial expressions – rises out of the water and crowns a fountain made of shaped stone and stainless steel.
