The Schafler wine tavern is idyllically situated on the wine trails above Gumpoldskirchen and serves as a charming landmark amidst the vines. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views over the thermal region and the Vienna Basin. Outside of serving hours – especially in winter – it remains peaceful and quiet here among the vineyards.

The beautiful view is already partially hidden by the tall trees. But you can still see as far as the Theresienwarte from here!

Small & big explorers can explore the cave

The Sandra-Platzl is high enough that you can also take a detour from the main path to the Pfaffenkogel down to the Platzl. From there, a path also leads up to the Pfaffenkogel.

The isolated cave is closed from September 16th to April 30th to allow the bats to hibernate in peace.
