Don't miss out on jogging on the nevski (ideally in the evening)! The Kazan Cathedral (Russian Казанский собор) is a large, Russian Orthodox sacred building on Nevsky Prospect in Saint Petersburg. It was built from 1801 to 1811 on the model of the Roman St. Peter's Basilica and is one of the most eye-catching buildings in Saint Petersburg. Pompous monument to Catherine the Great, commissioned by Tsar Alexander II. At her feet, all around, eight men - presumably her favorites / lovers, as well as a woman. All around, again a very nice park.

An incredibly magnificent gourmet temple in an Art Nouveau ambience: splendid, luxurious and exclusive! Feischmecker get their money's worth here. Great, very comfortable atmosphere. My tip: Be sure to take a look and let it sink in 👌😎

Incomparably beautiful facade in a richly decorated Art Nouveau architecture! Particularly striking about this corner house is the egg-shaped, glazed roof dome, on which an ensemble of figures with a glass globe. The Singer House is also known as the "House of Books" because it is home to the largest bookstore in Saint Petersburg. A visit is definitely worth it ... also because of the stylish café on the second floor.

The bridge of the Nevsky Prospect over the Fontanka is one of the most popular bridges in the city, especially because of the imposing bronze "horse tamers" sculptures "(2 at each bridgehead). Incidentally, our Russian friend told us that the locals often call it the “16 egg” bridge ??? Please count 😂😂😂

A really unique orthodox church building! Inspired by a visit to Rome, Tsar Paul I had his "St. In the interior we met numerous believers who, in an impressive way, paid homage to the "Icon of Our Lady of Kazan". The adoration of the Madonna was in the foreground here. But also the admiration of the many other icons was not neglected here. The orthodox faith seems to be still, or again, very strongly rooted in Russia! Note: You don't pay an entrance fee here.
