The Talfer Bridge (Italian: Ponte Talvera) is a bridge over the Talfer River in Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol. It connects the districts of Zentrum-Bozner Boden-Rentsch and Gries-Quirein. It is a five-arched truss bridge made of steel elements, measuring 132 meters long and twelve meters wide.

The Waaghaus, a beautiful building dating from 1634, housed the public scales until 1780. These scales can still be seen in a fresco by Albert Stolz in Waaggasse, the street connecting Kornplatz with the arcades. The hinges of the former city gate can also be discerned there with a keen eye. The Waaghaus is not only one of the oldest, but also the only freestanding building in the arcades of Bolzano.

The name "Torgglhaus" originated around 1895, when the building was rebuilt on the site of a medieval house. As early as the end of the 19th century, the building was registered in the land registry office as a "house with a courtyard and inn." The restaurant business has always characterized this historic building in Bolzano's old town, which has been run as a traditional South Tyrolean inn and restaurant since 1786. Villa Bittner (also: Villa Degischer) is a listed summer residence in the Heimatstil style in Kohlern, a district of Bolzano. It was built in 1896 by the city architect Johann Bittner as a private vacation home for himself and his family. The building, consisting of a brick ground floor and three wooden floors above, impresses with its typical Heimatstil features: turrets, bay windows, a sloping roof, and rich wood ornamentation. The interior is also lavishly decorated, with carvings, wall inscriptions, and decorative paintings. The original room layout has been preserved to this day. Bittner used the house as a personal retreat away from urban life. The villa is one of the earliest surviving examples of the Heimatstil style in the Bolzano area and an important example of Alpine architectural culture around 1900. (Wikipedia)

The Talfer Bridge was planned by Italian fascism as a parade route to the Victory Monument. Compared to other colonial architecture in the world, however, the Talfer Bridge is extremely modest. Today, with its decorated railings and flower baskets, it looks almost idyllic.
