Even though the bridge is currently closed on one side, it's worth a visit for people with a passion for industrial heritage.

In principle, it's a really good place to cycle, but unfortunately there are plenty of pedestrians who don't understand the separation. It's probably best not to plan on using it on a nice weekend, or only if you're in absolutely no hurry.

Outlook near Wetter (Ruhr)

Schede Manor, also known as Schede House, is a historic aristocratic estate in Herdecke, Westphalia, with a long history dating back to the 9th century. It is situated on a hill in the Ardey Hills overlooking the Ruhr River. The estate has been owned by the prominent industrialist family Harkort since the 18th century.

At this point you can discover a crazy hedge face that the owners cut out of a topiary and decorated with giant goggly eyes.

A really nice idea.
