As already described, here I agree with the other tipsters: The surrounding nature is wonderful, the narrow paths, the springy forest floor under your feet, but the A31 motorway, the intersecting federal roads and the shooting range do not ensure maximum relaxation.

The common whitebeam (Sorbus aria) is a native deciduous tree and was chosen as Tree of the Year 2024. It grows to a height of 15-20 meters when fully grown. This freshly planted specimen is still a long way from that—but everyone starts small.

Here you can see the different trees of the year

Wildlife observation point in the Üfter Mark with a great view of a large clearing and information boards in front of it. Should be particularly interesting at dusk when the red and fallow deer appear. The paths in this area are of great quality and are ideal for cycling.

A slightly higher observation tower that is located next to a stork's nest. During the breeding season, you can observe the storks and their offspring in the nest relatively well. Since it is located a little way away, binoculars are recommended.
