Lichtenberg Dam, not Lehnmühle!

The cemetery chapel "To the Holy Cross" in Frauenstein is a chapel below the castle ruins, originally donated in 1384 by Burgrave Berthold of Meissen. It was originally the chapel of the village of "Vrowinstein" and is significantly older than the present town church. After its use as a chapel, it served as a funeral hall and was maintained by volunteers in the 1950s and 1980s. Since its renovation in 2012, it has once again been available as a public funeral hall.

The Gottfried Silbermann Museum in Frauenstein in the Ore Mountains is dedicated to the life and work of the important Saxon organ builder Gottfried Silbermann (1683-1753). Located near the historic Frauenstein Castle ruins, the museum features an exhibition featuring a faithful replica of a Silbermann organ, multimedia stations, and information on the town's history.
