Satank Bridge spans the Roaring Fork River and was constructed in a style to resemble the period of wagon bridges. On the bridge, you have a view up the Elk Scenic Corridor and a backdrop of majestic Mount Sopris. The bridge is also called "pink bridge" due to the pink hue it takes at sunset.

It takes a little rock scrambling to get underneath the arch, but once you are there, you will be rewarded with a great view of the nearby mountains and canyons.

There is a massive gravel parking lot here with access to numerous nontechnical flat single and doubletrack trails. The northside loop is shaded.

This is intended to be a rest stop for drivers, but works just as well as a stop for runners! Here you can use the restrooms, enjoy views of Glenwood Canyon, and you have access to the Grizzly Creek Trail (the upper section of which is closed for reforestation as of 2023) across the street.

The Storm King Mountain Memorial Trail between New Castle and Glenwood Springs was built to remember 14 young firefighters who were killed in 1994, when they got trapped by a wildfire on Storm King Mountain. The fire was caused by lightning.

From the top of the Memorial Trail you'll enjoy a magnificent view of Storm King Mountain to the North East, towering above the narrow valley.
