The Belchen is not the highest mountain, but it is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Black Forest, because it offers visitors a fantastic panoramic view of the Rhine Valley, the Vosges and, in good weather, even as far as the Alps. As one of the most popular excursion destinations in the southern Black Forest, the Belchen is well frequented all year round.

Wonderful view of the Feldbergsee. Behind it you can see the Raimartihof, which invites you to rest after the long descent. Hinterzarten is further away.

A gorge worth seeing through which the wild Ravenna brook paves its way over many cascades and waterfalls. The two largest are the big Ravenna-Fall with 16 meters and the small Ravenna-Fall with 6 meters.

Of course there are bigger waterfalls in the Black Forest, but it is the biggest waterfall in the Ravennaschlucht. Nice to look at!

"...The source area of the Stübenbach is on the 1,386 meter high Stübenwasen. From there it meanders through the high valley of Todtnauberg, where other clear mountain streams join it. These then plunge together with a loud roar in two stages over a huge granite massif into the valley.
