The smallest of the three lakes owes its color to algae growing on its bottom. As the only lake on the Turracher Höhe, Lake Grünsee drains south into the Gurk River. Lake depth: up to 12 meters

The mountain bike tour leads from Villach through the Ossiacher Tauern mountains along secondary roads, cycle paths, and forest trails, offering many wonderful views of the lake and the Landskron Castle ruins. The tour is well signposted and only moderately challenging! From the Tauern Teich, you can head either towards Köstenberg or towards Lake Ossiach!

A challenging ascent by bike. If you prefer a more leisurely approach, you can drive almost to the shore.

The cycle path around the lake is great for cycling, with many beautiful places and sights around the lake.

At this boat landing stage there is a slightly longer jetty into the lake, ideal for taking photos of Lake Ossiach.
