The Ajax Tower, designated in 1865, stands in the "Heerkretz" hallway. The legendary Weinbergsturm, unusual in size and shape, can be found in Siefersheim's coat of arms. The following story is told about the origin of the Ajax Tower: At the beginning of the 19th century, a rich farmer's son lived in Siefersheim, handsome in appearance and a lively dancer. When he walked through the streets, many a shy girl followed him. The miller's daughter from the "Katzensteiger" mill was also in love with him. The girl's affection was returned. But the stubborn miller was against a connection. Years ago he had lost a lawsuit against the young man's father. The daughter was therefore married to a wine merchant and soon died of heartache. But the young man remained unmarried. He had a tower built on the spot where he once met his sweetheart. The dog in the later coat of arms is reminiscent of the faithful "Tiras" who accompanied the lovers on their walks. He is the symbol of fidelity unto death.
