The customs tower was built around the year 1000 as a pass barrier on the road between Mainz and Bad Kreuznach! The name goes back to a legend of Saint Ursula of Cologne! The Burgundy Tower was created to mark the 25th anniversary of the partnership between Wörrstadt and Arnay-le Duc. It bears its color and name in honor of the partner region of Burgundy. It is located in the "Kachelberg" vineyard above the Neubornbad baths and is open to the public, part of the "Hiwwelroute Neuborn". From the tower you have a fantastic view over the Rhenish-Hessian hill country. The three-storey construction of the round tower measures a total height of approx. 15 meters.On the upper, open viewing plateau, visitors can let their gaze wander over the Rhenish-Hessian hilly landscape at a height of eight meters.There are storage facilities for tables and benches on the ground floor of the tower.

The Wörrstadt Burgundy vineyard tower was built in the Burgundian style to mark the 25th anniversary of the partnership between Wörrstadt and Arnay-le Duc.
