The trullo is an Italian vineyard cottage and unique in the whole of Germany. It was built in 1756 by guest workers from Apulia, who worked in the surrounding quarries. Today you can sit on the benches next to the trullo and enjoy the magnificent view.

The Flonheim Hiwweltour is, in my opinion, the most beautiful Hiwweltour in Rheinhessen. A highlight is the trullo, from which you can see the Rheingau, the Palatinate (Donnersberg), Hunsrück and Odenwald when the visibility is good.

This beautiful trullo can be admired on the Hiwweltour Aulheimer Tal, from Flonheim there is also a small trullo path.
Next to the trullo there is a larger rest area with a beautiful view

The trulli were used by the vineyard workers to protect them from rain, sudden thunderstorms and to provide shade. Here was the place of rest, where the lunch brought with them was consumed.
... and the pleasure lounger keeps what it promises 😉
