The Lindensee is located in Rüsselsheim am Main and is near Mainz. It has an area of around 3 hectares and, in addition to the wonderful lake, also has a forest. In summer you can swim and sunbathe here at any time. But you can also just have a picnic on one of the meadows. In autumn and winter you can also go cycling, jogging or hiking here.

The Gundwiesensee, idyllically located in the Gundwiesen, is ideal for a short (or long) break with a view of the water and shore area. You can regularly observe gray herons here and, with a bit of luck, even catch a glimpse of a kingfisher.

It's easy to miss, and many visitors to the Kelsterbacher Südpark have never walked across the small street to look at the quiet water in the forest: the Staudenweiher is a wonderfully pretty place, enhanced with a small pavilion. For cyclists and walkers on the regional park route, the Staudenweiher is right on the path. Anyone who comes through the Südpark, the spacious Kelsterbach leisure park, will come across the former mining site immediately behind the street “Am Südpark”. Gravel and sand were mined there in the 1970s. A viewing platform with access was built adjacent to the existing parking lot at the fishing center. The platform is located just a few hundred meters away from the existing regional park route, which, coming from Frankfurt, leads through the Südpark of Kelsterbach and further over the border path from the Main foreland. The new platform makes it possible to have a complete overview of the perennial pond, enjoy nature and, for example, watch birds. These include rare specimens such as the kingfisher, which is a permanent guest on the six hectares of water.

The Lindensee is a popular destination for hikers, dog walkers and cyclists. It is located away from the more heavily frequented routes. On the banks you can enjoy nature in peace with a view of the water. Swimming and fishing are prohibited.
