Santa Maria del Cedro is a Calabrian municipality belonging to the Riviera dei Cedri, famous for its cedar. The town overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea offers spectacular landscapes, located near the Pollino National Park. The local cuisine makes extensive use of cedar, a famous product of the area.

Scalea is a medieval village located on a terraced hill a few minutes from the sea. Its historic center is a labyrinth of stairways, alleys, arches and ancient buildings, where it is possible to visit the Norman Castle, the Basilian churches with Byzantine frescoes, the Palazzo dei Principi Spinelli and the Talao Tower, symbol of the city.

Along the Abatemarco river there are various areas equipped with wooden benches and tables, and it is possible to admire the waterfalls and the centuries-old trees present in this valley.

Scalea is a beautiful village on the Riviera dei Cedri. The beaches are truly wonderful.

The name of this village derives from a Hebrew term, "M’arà", which means cave. In fact, here there are numerous natural cavities and the town rests on sheer rocks.

In the inconspicuous village of Marcellina, the Pasticceria Aronne is a real insider tip for connoisseurs. The small works of art made with a lot of love not only look great, they also taste delicious. There is also ice cream and coffee. Always worth a stop.

Medieval village in the province of Cosenza. The old town is located on a hill close to the plain, just three minutes from the sea. Very suggestive place that can only be visited on foot, a pedestrian area full of stairs and alleys. Historic palaces and houses with Byzantine frescoes make this place unique. Beautiful panorama and two attractions of sure interest: the church above and the Norman castle (ruins). In addition, there are many portals to photograph and observe along its alleys. One cannot leave Scalea without having smelled the scent of the Middle Ages in its "vanelles".
