Runkel is a great place to take a break! In the old town there is an ice cream parlor, a pastry shop and several bakeries, as well as a great Italian restaurant at the campsite. There is a beautiful view from the bridge.

Runkel has some highlights such as a castle, an old bridge and a small old town. The streets here are very narrow and cars drive there too. Beautifully located on the Lahn. The campsite has a first-class pizzeria! 👍

Hadamar Castle was initially Eberbach Monastery. In 1320 the monastery became the property of Count Emich of Nassau. The count turned the monastery into a moated castle with a farm, tithe barn and city wall.
