Cousimbert is a summit in the Swiss canton of Fribourg, with an altitude of 1,633 meters. It offers a breathtaking view of Lake Gruyère and the surrounding Alps. One of the best ways to enjoy this scenic spot is to hike the Cousimbert Circular Trail, a moderate 5.8-mile loop that leaves from the Grau Rappo parking lot and passes several alpine huts where you can sample local specialties. The trail is suitable for running and is best visited from May to October. If you're looking for a challenge, you can also extend your run to the nearby peak of La Berra, which is 1,719 meters high and has a cable car station. Whether you choose the shortest or longest route, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and a memorable experience.

This alpine cheese dairy and snack bar is located at the top of the Balisa Pass, which connects Schwarzsee and La Valsainte / Charmey. You can enjoy the views of the mountains and valleys, as well as the aroma of cheese made from the milk of 25-30 cows. You can also visit the cheese factory and taste some of its delicious products, such as Alpmutschli, a small round cheese. Patraflon is a grassy summit in the Friborg Pre-Alps which dominates the Valsainte Valley. It offers a magnificent view of the Swiss Plateau and the Jura. Its wide and regular slopes make it an ideal destination for running, especially in spring and autumn. You can start from the Pré de l'Essert farm and follow the Essert valley, then climb to the summit of Patraflon via a wooded ridge. You can also extend your route by traversing to the nearby summit of Gros Brun, which requires some climbing on the northwest ridge. Enjoy the landscape and tranquility of this little-known region.
