Also near the viewpoint is El Chorro Waterfall, another natural attraction worth visiting.

The arrival from Almadén de la Plata is straightforward and follows a straightforward track until you reach the Chorro trail. Once you reach the bed of the Las Calzadillas stream, the truly interesting part begins. From the clearly marked trail, you access the stream bed to see the rock embedded in the gorge formed by the stream. Then, there are steep climbs with spectacular views until you reach the return path. Very interesting and highly recommended.

The Rivera del Huéznar is one of the three great rivers of the Sierra Morena Seville, along with the Viar and the Retortillo. Although its course is short, only 60 km, its route is winding and presents marked unevenness. Throughout its course, this river is bordered by a very well-developed gallery forest, which is home to a diversity of plant and animal species. Among the birds that take refuge and nest in the trees that line the river are the kingfisher, the dipper and the nightingale. In addition, the otter, which only lives in rivers with protected banks and clean waters, also lives in this area. A beautiful place to explore! 😊
