A train rattles along the railway line every few minutes, and often several at once. A feast for children and train spotters, and a change of pace for hikers who have to cross the noisy Expo Bridge next door.

For many animals, keeping them in a zoo represents a very severe restriction compared to their natural habitats. However, many animal species are unfortunately severely restricted by humans, endangered or threatened with extinction, even in their natural habitats. Immediately in the entrance area of the war cemetery is a sculpture by the expressionist sculptor Wilhelm Lehmbruck.

As of 7/2023, the botanical garden looks poorly maintained. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting it, a beautiful old stock of trees with some exotic specimens and lots of green with nice places to linger.
