There is a strange magic in this beautiful meadow

At the top of the Reggio Emilia Apennines, Mount La Nuda is located at an altitude of 1,893 and has various namesakes in the Modena Apennines. From here, with clear skies, you can admire the Ligurian Sea, the Tuscan archipelago, Corsica and even a good part of the Alps. Chairlifts have been built under the summit to serve the Cerreto Laghi ski resort.

Located on the ridge between the over 2,000 meters of the Succiso Alp and 1,902 meters of Monte Alto, the Pietratagliata pass is one of the most technical points of the Alta Via dei Parchi, also because there is often snow even in summer.

Of artificial origin created following the construction in 1911 of a dam on the Enza stream for the production of electricity, Lake Paduli is long and narrow and rises alongside the Lagastrello pass. At this point it is possible to observe the lake, the dam, the many paths that unravel towards the Apennine ridges and park the car along the road. Furthermore, it is a border point between three provinces: Parma (municipality of Monchio delle Corti), Reggio Emilia (Ramiseto) and Massa-Carrara (Comano).

This little refuge is very nice and easily reachable from Lake Paduli via a path in the woods.

The ascent to the summit of M. Acuto takes place on an unmarked track. To be traveled with caution especially in case of rain.

One of the best known Apennine passes, the Cerreto separates the provinces of Massa-Carrara and Reggio Emilia. From the pass you can reach the town of Cerreto Laghi, where various walks and MTB trails begin.

Monte La Nuda is one of the symbolic peaks of the Corno Alle Scale Park. We are in Emilia Romagna, in the province of Reggio Emilia and the Park is located on the border with Tuscany.
