A beautiful refuge nestled in the mountains. I recommend booking in advance to secure a spot, even just for lunch. The trail is steep; I recommend appropriate equipment, especially footwear.

Easily accessible via the Via Vandelli from Resceto. From the Passo Tambura the path becomes a normal mountain path. It is also worth crossing the Monte Crispo and descending via the marble quarry back to Resceto 😃.

Key point for the crossing of the Apuan Alps and for those who decide to undertake the long and complex route of the Via Vandelli. Small but welcoming, it comfortably offers hospitality to around twenty travellers. It should be taken into account that there are no abundant water sources around the refuge. It is important to always go up with a little extra reserve. It's a little help that we can all offer while respecting the environment and the mountains.

Monte Tambura is a mountain in the Apuan Alps. With his m. 1890 a.s.l. it is the second in height after Monte Pisanino. It is located between Monte Cavallo and Penna di Sumbra.
