I stumbled upon this relatively new bike path by chance. From Kalteneber down to Heiligenstadt, it feels like it never ends, a cool ride. The curves are very clear, and the road surface is simply fantastic. This bike path is easy to incorporate into circular tours in the Eichsfeld region.

Rapid descent after a strenuous 6 km drive uphill. Nice bike path partly along Jacobweg (Uder). Beautiful old town of Heiligenstadt.
