Beautiful view of Haigerloch Castle 🏰 and the lower town church of St. Nicholas ⛪ - Haigerloch - Zollernalb district

The castle is of course the centre of Hirrlingen. Today the castle houses the following facilities. The church in Haigerloch was built in Gothic style by Hans Stockher and Martin Schill between 1584 and 1609 on behalf of the donor, Count Christoph von Hohenzollern and his wife Katharina. After being damaged in the Thirty Years' War, Prince Joseph Friedrich had the castle church renovated in baroque style in 1748. The artistically valuable stucco work was created by a master from Wessobrunn. After a major restoration in the years 1905 to 1907 and another in 1956, extensive measures to preserve the stucco and the ceiling paintings were carried out in the years 2013 to 2015. (Q:Wickpedia)
