A lot has happened!! There's been a skywalk there for a year now. The Königsstuhl Skywalk is a free-floating viewing platform designed to relieve pressure on the porous chalk rock, as the previous platform was heavily stressed by the crowds of visitors. The Königsstuhl National Park Center is also new to us. It offers an interactive journey of discovery through the natural history of Rügen and the chalk coast on approximately 2,000 square meters of indoor space and a 28,000 square meter outdoor area. We are truly impressed by the exhibition. Many people here say the exhibition isn't worth it. We can't say the same. We were thrilled by the wealth of information. We took plenty of time to explore all the rooms at our leisure.

The Königsstuhl Skywalk is a suspended observation platform above the Königsstuhl chalk cliffs of Rügen. The elliptical circular path, known as the Königsstuhl, is supported by a giant guyed mast and hovers above the 118-meter-high Königsstuhl, the largest chalk cliff in Germany. The Königsstuhl Skywalk is barrier-free and therefore also accessible for wheelchair users and families with strollers.
