The correct name would be "Hardtwald". The Homburg municipal forest extends up to the Taunus ridge. And part of the Hardtwald belongs to Friedrichsdorf.

A bench right next to the trail, perfect for a short break on the way to Saalburg. Unobstructed view of Bad Homburg, Oberursel and Frankfurt. Be careful, since the last ride (03.01.25) there has been an increase in wind damage on this trail.

It's all very sad, actually, as there are hardly any trees left. But the beautiful thing is the view that you can now enjoy.
