The place is called Ittlingen, not Hittlingen

The building, built in 1910/11 as the "New Schoolhouse" in the style of a hunting lodge with two round towers on either side of the main façade, was converted into a town hall in 1976. More information on the information board on site.

The Schulschlösschen, also known as the New Town Hall, was originally built as a school building. In the 1970s it was converted into a town hall.

The community hall is mainly used for festive events, such as the winter celebrations of the TSV 1892 Ittlingen e.V., the Sängerbund 1861 Ittlingen e.V. and the Musik-Wanderverein Edelweiß e.V. The Ittlinger Carneval Club 88 e.V. also holds its gala sessions here.

The Ittlinger Käferschüttler is a humorous sculpture located in front of the town hall in Ittlingen. It was created by the sculptor Kurt Tassotti and commemorates a historical plague of cockchafers that once plagued Ittlingen. The sculpture shows a beetle gathering a large number of other beetles around itself, which earned the place the nickname "Käferschüttler".

Today, the building is used for hospitality and houses a restaurant that serves as a central meeting place for the community. It is a popular venue for local events and offers a cozy atmosphere for visitors and residents.
