Beautiful to see from the Hochuferweg

From this vantage point, you have a magnificent view of the Wissower Ufer. The lookout point is located just beyond the Piratenschlucht (Pirate Gorge) and is easily accessible. There's also a bench to rest on. Highly recommended, especially at sunrise: a special atmosphere and mood.

The Sellin pier is one of the landmarks of the island of Rügen. In my opinion, it's the most beautiful pier in the Baltic Sea. The view from above over the Himmelsleiter (Stairway to Heaven) and the pier itself is particularly impressive. A visit at sunrise is especially recommended! 👌 When visiting the pier, you can learn a lot about its history thanks to information panels. At the end of the pier, there's a diving gondola that allows you to dive to the seabed. The pier restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the kitchen is open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

From here (to the left of Wilhelmstrasse) you have a wonderful view of the pier. There are also benches here from which you can let your gaze wander over the pier and the Baltic Sea. There is probably nothing more to say about the Sellin pier itself: in my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful piers on the Baltic Sea. I can particularly recommend the sunrise: a wonderful scenery and atmosphere!

The vibrant colors, enhanced by the contrast between the calm blue of the sea and the white of the cliffs, make time stand still and invite you to pause. At the foot of the cliffs lies an idyllic natural beach, perfect for a stroll and offering magnificent views of the majestic cliffs. But as tempting as the proximity to the edge may be, caution is advised. Nature has created overhangs here in places that are fascinating, but also have their pitfalls. The Wissower Ufer captivates numerous visitors, especially on weekends when tourists from near and far want to experience this breathtaking place. Yet despite the hustle and bustle, it is always possible to find a moment of peace and fully enjoy the beauty of nature. For those who want to escape the crowds and experience the Wissower Ufer in all its glory, a visit in the early morning hours is recommended. As the day awakens and the sun bathes the rocks in a golden light, this place shows off its best side.
