The cycle paths in the national park are excellently developed and lead through some of the most beautiful corners of the region. Although the direct shore areas of the lakes are often hidden by trees and bushes, there are always breathtaking views of the water landscapes. A detour by canoe is a good way to explore the lake landscape from the water. Paddling through the calm waters, surrounded by untouched nature, is a highlight that should not be missed. The Müritz National Park is not only a place for relaxation and enjoyment of nature, but also a paradise for active holidaymakers. In addition to cycling and paddling, numerous hiking trails invite you to explore the region on foot and take in the silence of nature.

Near the beach there is a kiosk and a restaurant, perfect for taking a break and refueling. On the opposite bank, which is easy to reach by bike, there is a campsite that also offers canoe rentals. A canoe tour on Lake Mirow is a wonderful way to enjoy the tranquil beauty of the lake from the water. A special highlight are the local fisheries on the lake. There you can try freshly smoked fish, which is prepared directly on the lake. There is nothing better than a delicious fish sandwich while looking out over the lake. The cycle paths around Lake Mirow are well developed and offer beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. The area here is ideal for cycling, with good surfaces and occasionally excellent cycle paths.

The small ponds that you discover during the tour through the park are a beautiful sight with their water lilies and offer a perfect opportunity for a short rest. The route along the ponds is a feast for the senses. The blooming water lilies stretch over the water like a colorful carpet, while the tranquil atmosphere and natural beauty of the surroundings invite you to relax. Another highlight is the Käflingsberg Tower, which offers a breathtaking view over the entire national park. From here you can admire all the beauty of the Müritz and its surrounding moors and forests.

The rippling of the water accompanies me on my tour as I enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Part of the eastern shore of the Müritz belongs to the Müritz National Park, a true treasure for anyone who wants to explore nature by bike or on foot. The well-developed cycle paths lead sometimes closer, sometimes further away from the shore and always offer fascinating views of the lake. Along the shore of the Müritz I find numerous beautiful bathing spots. Whether sandy beaches, bathing jetties or sunbathing lawns - there is something for everyone. The clear water of the Müritz invites you to swim and relax. The variety ranges from dog beaches and nudist areas to family-friendly shores with shallow water. In Waren, one of the picturesque towns on the banks of the Müritz, it is worth visiting the old town and taking a stroll through the alleys. The restaurants at the harbor offer something for every taste and are a popular meeting place to end the day.

From the bridge you have an excellent view of the lake. It's worth stopping there briefly. The view is great and it's worth a short detour!
