The old Muskau Castle

Contrary to its name, the Old Castle was only built in the 17th century under the von Callenberg family. It served as the seat of the district administration. Today, the Old Castle houses the tourist information office.

A really beautiful entrance

It is definitely worth it, the ruins have been renovated and you can look over Bad Muskau from there and also take a look at the castle

The church on the east side of the village of Berg was built around 1345 from field stones. However, more recent studies point to the year 1200. It is the oldest church in north-eastern Upper Lusatia. The church is very small and cramped. It was used until 1785. It has been a listed building since 1955 and was extensively restored a few years ago. Not far from here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Bad Muskau and the Unterpark up to the former mausoleum on the Polish side of Muskau Park. In 2006, on the occasion of the Muskau Shooting Festival, a wooden bell tower was erected and the "Bell of Reconciliation" was inaugurated.
