Beautiful, well-maintained village pond. Very idyllic.

Beautiful fieldstone church from the 13th century. In front of it, as is common in small villages, is the war memorial for those who fell in the First World War.

The current church was built between 1950 and 1955 according to plans by building inspector Curt Steinberg on the cemetery in the northwest of the village, directly on the B 167.[3] The earlier churches stood in the village center. The cemetery was established in the late 17th century by the Barfus family. This cemetery also contains the hereditary burial plot of the von Lestwitz-Itzenplitz family.

Small commercial airfield with views of aircraft taking off and landing. Ideal for viewing, for sightseeing flights over lakes and forests, or as a detour to the airfield museum. From here, it's just a few minutes to Lake Straussee and the Märkische Schweiz (Märkische Schweiz) region.

Small beach at the northern end of the Langen Haussee. Swimming is permitted at your own risk.

Impressive: Nature has created these hills; from here the view stretches for miles across the flat Oderbruch to the south.

The Cöthen village church was donated by Carl Friedrich von Jena in 1830. It was built as a hall church in the Neoclassical style. This was the era of the architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Hence, the village church is also known as the Schinkel Church. Since 2013, the "Cöthen Church" Association has been responsible for the preservation of the listed building.

The Protestant church dates from the middle of the 13th century and was built as a rectangular fieldstone building with a recessed choir. Two round-arched south portals from the time of construction are still preserved and recognizable.
