On the newly designed waterfront promenade - which locals have always called the "bulwark" - "Parzival at the lake" stands guard. The 17-meter-high steel sculpture was created by the artist Matthias Zágon Hohl-Stein. "Parzival at the lake" stands for a new Neuruppin without a garrison. He is seen as a symbol of new beginnings. With the wind turbine in one hand and the ark in the other, he was unveiled on the lakefront promenade in 1998 on the occasion of the awarding of the name "Fontanestadt".

I was immediately drawn to this beautiful old train station, there was a spontaneous break. The station and outdoor area have been lovingly restored and the staff is very friendly and courteous.

Since the end of 2010, when the bike path was built, I've been riding there again and again. watched the thorough construction work, many different protective and sub-layers. Therefore, and because there are very few trees directly on the bike path, the route is still wonderfully smooth. (see photos of the construction work) Former railway line Paulinenaue - Neuruppin.
