At the end of the old bobsleigh run, the old bobsleigh and toboggan run of the Friedrichroda Bobsleigh and Toboggan Club 05 begins. Floodlights were installed here in 2008, and today (2025) the track looks as if it hasn't been used for 30 years. You can walk through it from above or below, and marvel at the curves with their steep walls.

A beautiful nature trail along the stream. A small waterfall crowns this lovely path. Sturdy shoes 👟👞 are recommended. You should be sure-footed.

Easy path a bit rocky

A unique experience to hike through an ancient, disused bobsleigh track. The upper section is located in a wooded area, so the track is covered in moss. A mystical sight in foggy weather. A shady spot in summer.

Where else can you go down a natural bobsleigh run? The oldest/upper part is natural. The second part is built. Very interesting and something different.

A climb that is worth it!

Hello hikers, this path is not recommended in winter, especially the last stretch, the path is rutted, incredibly slippery, very steep, 70% of the trees have been cleared. Please update the photos. NF Tobi from Plauen
