The Chapel Fountain is one of the oldest structures in Fredelsloh. Even before the construction of the monastery church in 1132, a spring was said to have existed here, which was very important for the monastery.

The Romanesque former monastery church of St. Blaise and Mary significantly shapes the appearance of the town of Fredelsloh. After the dissolution of the Augustinian Canons' Convent and later the Canons' Convent (founded in 1132) as a result of the Reformation, the large Romanesque basilica became too large for the congregation and was structurally divided inside. As a result, it appears complete from the outside, but somewhat peculiar on the inside. 😉

The coffee roastery and café are highly recommended! The food was absolutely delicious. Besides the coffee, they also offer a variety of regional specialties.

The view of Fredelsloh is significantly shaped by the former monastery church of St. Blasii and Mariae in the middle of the houses.
