The Santa Claus House in Himmelpforten, Stade district, Lower Saxony, is an integral part of the magical annual Christmas celebrations in the Christkind village of Himmelpforten. It's located in the Villa von Issendorff. There, you'll find not only a large collection of Santa Claus figurines but also the cozy Santa Claus Parlour, where children can leave their Christmas wishes, while volunteers process the letters at the Christkind post office. Every year, this enchanting place opens for about 10 days during the first weekend of Advent, accompanied by a festive Christmas market. What you'll find there: The Santa Claus House in the Villa von Issendorff. A renovated historic building with the Santa Claus Parlour and a vast collection of Christmas figurines from around the world. At the Christkind post office, children's wish lists are answered by dedicated volunteers. The Christkind market, a lovely market in the villa's park, is supported by local associations.

Intertwined beech trees are common, and the ones in the Himmelpforten Forest are known as the "Giant Lovers." For about 100 years, two beech trees have stood closely entwined by the roadside in the Himmelpforten Forest. Now, the "Giant Lovers" have been given an iron heart and a park bench where walkers, hikers, cyclists, and lovers can relax. A beautiful sight, and a visit is highly recommended 👍🏼.

In the immediate vicinity of the monastery church, herb garden, lock, and historic brewery, you'll find our café with its lovely beer garden under the roof of the old village school in Himmelpforten. We serve delicious cakes and coffee, as well as light meals. We're happy to provide information about local attractions. In addition, a modern wall-mounted display with a touchpad is available, offering further information about your stay in our beautiful region. During the holiday season, we host weekly open-air concerts in our courtyard, with free admission. Santa Claus lives here! His living room can be visited free of charge every day between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. You can drop your wish lists into one of our two wish list mailboxes at any time.
