The Flonheimer Trullo is a round house that was built as a shelter in the vineyard. Today a landmark of the region, the Flonheim trullo was probably built in 1756 by Apulian guest workers. Right next to the trullo, tables and benches invite you to have a relaxing picnic. You can discover various local grape varieties on the attached wine trail.

The Flonheim Hiwweltour is, in my opinion, the most beautiful Hiwweltour in Rheinhessen. A highlight is the trullo, from which you can see the Rheingau, the Palatinate (Donnersberg), Hunsrück and Odenwald when the visibility is good.

The Eagle Arch is a steel triumphal arch on the Moltkefelsen, 545 meters above sea level, on the east flank of the Donnersberg. On a forest path southwest of Dannenfels, a 12.50 meter long steel arch was stretched about 30 meters above the valley floor between two rocky peaks of the Moltkefelsen. The eagle arch is an important testimony to the art-historical development of the monument in the German Empire and the early tourist development of the Donnersberg. The arch is a "product of technology, an iron construction originally intended for bridge building, alienated to a "monument"... "in the dimension of the aesthetic" (Schindlmayr 1982, p. 159). My recommendation: First the 142 steps, then food and drink. In addition to regional products to take away, there are also delicious homemade cakes, various meat dishes, various drinks, ice cream, and a delightful kiosk operator along with a relaxed dog.
