Absolutely beautiful 😍 whether on foot or by bike

Bruchsal Palace, unfortunately heavily damaged on March 1, 1945, and later restored, along with its grounds, which include many other buildings, is, according to the brochure, the oldest Baroque ecclesiastical residence on the Upper Rhine. Four prince-bishops resided there until its dissolution at the beginning of the 19th century. The palace's rooms, where only the stucco ceilings are missing, but the frescoes in the staircase by Balthasar Neumann and two large halls have been completely restored to near-original condition, can be visited without a guided tour. The admission ticket also includes access to the extensive Music Box Museum and the small City Museum within the building.

Nice to drive. There's a tree right at the bottom, just before the end. A detour is available.
