Taking a break with a good view

On July 21, 1935, the foundation stone of the first Protestant church in Bruchsal was laid. The church's style was based on early Christian basilicas, which were built as rectangular halls. The interior of the church was richly decorated with paintings and sculptures. During the air raid on Bruchsal on March 1, 1945, both the roof and all the furnishings were destroyed. Reconstruction of the church began in 1946 and lasted four years. Further restoration and construction work followed in subsequent years. So many beautiful views into the landscape! Really pretty area to ride through.

Steep descent indeed. Manageable on a gravel bike, but might be more fun on a mountain bike.
