The Buchmühle takes its name from the nearby village land "Auf dem Buch." Since this mill is not located directly on the Leiblach River, a canal was dug to power the waterwheel, which is still clearly visible today. This mill probably bore this name because it was owned by the Groß family for many years. It was also always the largest mill in Heimenkirch. The history of this mill goes back to the 16th century.
