Worth seeing castle and a beautiful park

A visit is truly wonderful. It's important to book a guided tour. The castle is privately owned, so you can really see everything.

As a widow's residence, it's certainly not so bad. But as a place for training, it's certainly more sensible.

For over 700 years, Bückeburg Castle has been a living mirror of time. Around the 13th century, Bückeburg Castle was first documented under the name "buckeborch" as a residential and defensive tower. It served to guard an important long-distance trade route that led from the Baltic to the Rhine. The 16th century (1560-1620) had the greatest impact on Bückeburg Castle: The medieval fortified fortress evolved into a splendid Renaissance castle. Subsequently, in the 18th century (1732), the facades and interior were redesigned in the Baroque style. Discover a bygone era of splendor on one of the numerous castle tours.
