The Jetzelsdorf Wine Church has been a meeting place for generations: It originated from a prayer column, in the place of which a small chapel was built in 1707. Under Joseph II, this chapel was expanded into a church in 1786. The building served as the church of Jetzelsdorf for almost 200 years. After the construction of a new parish church, the old building was placed under monument protection and renovated. Today the Jetzelsdorf Wine Church is the village and event center: A vinotheque offers selected wines from the winemakers from the market town of Haugsdorf. The wine church provides a unique setting for numerous celebrations and can also be rented for private celebrations.
