The church of St. Jacobi is the second of the three large churches in the Hanseatic city of Stendal. It is the "pilgrim church" of Stendal. Events are held regularly in the church and it is an open church (note the opening times). The Uenglinger Gate (as it is correctly called) is, alongside the Holsten Gate, one of the most impressive city gates of the North German brick Gothic style. The gate can be visited from May to September: Tuesday-Friday: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission costs €2. Why they had to make a second highlight here is a mystery to me!

Small bay not visible from the road with a beautiful sandy beach. There are also many blackberry bushes around the bay with large blackberries in July.

Fieldstone church from the 12th century with a recessed choir and apse. Square east tower with a gable roof from the 13th century. Inside there is a pulpit altar and baptismal angel. Visits possible by arrangement
