On my walk, I was most impressed by the grotto itself. The ceiling must have been closed at some point, meaning it collapsed. But that only makes it more mystical now. Amazing! 😎✌️

The Geiskirche offers airy shelter, a bench invites you to linger and have breakfast. The other caves definitely require a flashlight. Next is the Buchberg Cave. After another 500m we could make the detour to the Easter cave, which is accessible as a show cave on summer weekends. The entrance was built for the visits. A guided tour takes around 30 minutes. A small forest tavern provides refreshments

Beautiful indoor cave that is also easy to reach by mountain bike. With a little scrambling you get to what is probably the most beautiful and well-known cave in the Hirschbach valley. The Cäciliengrotte is also interesting to navigate without a flashlight, light enters the two-room cave through holes in the ceiling.
