The historic baroque castle with its numerous outbuildings is in the most beautiful location, directly on the Havel and on the Plauer See. The building is in poor condition and needs extensive renovation. Nevertheless, a visit is worthwhile, a small restaurant invites you to linger and then take a tour through the castle park in the footsteps of Fontane.

The castle park emerged from a landscape park that was laid out in the middle of the 19th century by the then Count von Koenigsmarck.
