Simply beautiful when the castle is reflected in the water.

For centuries, the moated castle has shaped the image and history of Taufkirchen an der Vils, an Upper Bavarian community in the eastern district of Erding. When and by whom the castle was originally built is not known. Traces of a seat of power in this place can be traced back to the Middle Ages. The castle was first mentioned in a document in 1263, which is therefore his "birth certificate". The municipality of Taufkirchen (Vils) took this date as an opportunity to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the town's cultural gem in 2013. In May 2016, the municipality of Taufkirchen (Vils) acquired the castle, primarily with the intention of keeping the complex open to the public. The castle now houses a permanent gastronomy. A beautiful and well maintained castle. Is privately owned and cannot be visited. The narrow street winds past the castle up the Isar slope. Very idyllic.

The keep dates from the time the castle was built, the 12th/13th centuries. Century. Kronwinkl Castle has been owned by the Preysing family since it was built. The residential buildings were built in the 16th and 17th centuries. Century at the Gothic ring wall.

Very impressive, but unfortunately not open to visitors.
